To augment the expansion of its advanced metering infrastructure, AEP Ohio turned to Powerley to launch a real-time energy experience. Blending energy management with home automation, the It’s Your Power app achieved 10 percent adoption in less than a year — fueling engagement while creating energy and demand savings for AEP Ohio. Customers have gone well beyond the bill, discovering device control, engaging in efficiency challenges, and activating home automation.
Due to regulatory factors, the It's Your Power program was paused at the end of 2020.

Launched in 2014, DTE Insight created a real-time connection with the meter and a new energy experience for DTE customers. The results to date have been impactful – tallying 400,000 downloads of DTE Insight and more than 20 million sessions. DTE Energy and Powerley have continued to innovate the experience by empowering customers with control of their energy through new home automation features – further proving the potential behind-the-meter.

BC Hydro provides electricity to approximately 1.9 million customers across British Columbia. Together with Powerley, BC Hydro is piloting the energy management platform with households equipped with smart (AMI) meters. By integrating home energy management within a complete smart home solution, the program aims to elevate energy efficiencies and customer engagement through a BC Hydro branded experience called HydroHome.

In 2019, Powerley launched a new meter adapter – extending the real-time energy management to Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) meters. MidAmerican Energy Company selected Powerley to assist in launching a pilot program to a group of residential AMR customers. MidAmerican Energy Plugged In allows customers to manage and control their energy and smart devices from one app. MidAmerican Energy, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, serves 783,000 electric customers and 765,000 natural gas customers in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota.
